Nope. It's a trust thing — and permanence is a cornerstone of trust. Claimed links are permanent (though you can edit a claimed link's query string at any time).

Free Lyza links can be claimed (paid for and owned) by anyone. If users could delete links, someone could claim your link, delete it, then create a link with the same short URL and point it to an undesirable destination. If you didn't know this and shared the link, you'd be sending your friends and customers somewhere unsavory; not a good look.
